IT consulting & MSP matchmaking

Finding the right IT partner shouldn’t require an IT background.

More of your business runs on technology every year, and figuring out who should support it — and whether your current setup still fits — has gotten harder, not easier. We’ve spent 20+ years doing managed IT ourselves and working alongside other providers across greater Cincinnati. We’ll help you cut through the jargon, evaluate your real options, and land on the firm that actually fits. If none of them do, we can step in.

Free, no obligation. You will leave the call knowing what your real options are — even if the answer is “stay where you are.”

Why this is harder than it should be

More support, more vendors, more acronyms.

Comparing managed IT providers is not like comparing most other vendors. The pitches converge, the pricing models don’t line up with each other, and the acronyms do a lot of the work of making two very different offers sound the same.

Every MSP sounds the same

“Proactive,” “responsive,” “a true partner” — the language on most MSP websites is close to interchangeable. It tells you almost nothing about which one actually fits how your business runs.

Pricing models don’t compare

Per-device, per-user, flat-fee, tiered bundles with different inclusions at each level. Two quotes for what sounds like the same work can land far apart, for reasons that are not obvious until someone explains what is actually in each one.

The jargon hides real differences

RMM, EDR, SOC, MSP versus MSSP — these acronyms describe genuinely different levels of coverage, and a sales conversation rarely slows down long enough to explain which ones actually matter for a business your size.

You do not need to become an IT expert to hire one well. You need someone who already is, sitting on your side of the table.

How the engagement works

Four steps, and you are never left without a plan.

01

Assessment

We start with your environment, your budget realities, any compliance requirements, and what has actually gone wrong with IT support before — not a generic checklist.

02

Independent evaluation

We weigh what we know about MSPs across greater Cincinnati against what you specifically need, and translate the coverage differences between them into plain business terms.

03

Shortlist and introductions

You meet a short, considered list instead of fielding a dozen sales calls yourself. We help you read what each proposal actually covers before you sign anything.

04

A landing spot either way

If nothing on the list is the right fit, our own managed IT team can step in under SecureCore, so this process never ends with you back where you started.

Why bring us into it

20 years of doing the work ourselves.

Before we evaluate anyone else’s managed IT service, we have run one ourselves. Digital Atmospheres has operated managed IT under our own SecureCore brand for small and mid-market businesses across greater Cincinnati. We know what good support looks like from the inside, not just from a sales deck.

That is also what makes this an honest recommendation rather than a rubber stamp. The same way we tell software clients when an off-the-shelf product beats a custom build, we will tell you plainly when a specialist MSP is the better fit for your business — and just as plainly when it is not.

  • We speak the languageRMM, EDR, SOC and the rest, translated into what they actually mean for a business your size.
  • We know the Cincinnati marketWe have worked directly with multiple MSPs across the region and know how they operate day to day, not just how they market themselves.
  • No dead endsIf nothing on the shortlist fits, our own SecureCore team can step in, so this never ends with you back where you started.
  • One conversation, not tenWe do the vetting so you are not the one sitting through a dozen sales calls to find one good fit.

Straight answers

What people ask before they call.

What does this cost?

It depends on the scope of the evaluation, and we would rather tell you that honestly than guess a number before understanding your environment. The first call establishes the rough shape of the engagement and whether it makes sense at all.

Are you just going to recommend yourselves?

Not by default. We will tell you plainly when a specialist MSP is the better fit for your business, the same way we tell software clients when they should buy something off the shelf instead of building custom. Stepping in ourselves is the fallback, not the goal.

What if we already have an MSP?

We can review your current arrangement against what a good fit actually looks like and tell you plainly whether a change is worth the disruption — or whether the provider you have is doing right by you and the frustration lies elsewhere.

Is this only for Cincinnati-area businesses?

Our MSP network is concentrated in greater Cincinnati, so this works best for businesses in the region. Reach out regardless and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.

Not sure who should be handling your IT?

Thirty minutes, no cost, no obligation. Bring what is frustrating you about your current setup — or the fact that you do not have one — and we will tell you plainly what your real options are.
